Introducing Homeopathy at Emmaus Dublin
On Saturday 29th March Emmaus Retreat Centre will host a one day introductory workshop on Homeopathy. Homeopathy is becoming more and more acknowledged at global level as an effective and natural route to physical and emotional healing. Liam Scollan, himself a qualified and practising homeopath will explain how it works and introduce participants to ways they can use homeopathy to treat the more straightforward everyday illnesses and injuries from the common cold to bruise or a sting.
The day promises to be lively, informative, interactive and surprising. In his workshops Liam uses a variety of techniques to give participants hands on experiences that not only demonstrate the surprising healing to be found in natural remedies but also how we ourselves have our own wisdom and powers of observation which can be used to treat ourselves in many cases.
“My aim is that participants will complete the day being familiar with 25 of the most used homeopathic remedies and being able to choose when to prescribe for themselves or consult with a professional homeopath or other properly qualified practitioners.”
The workshop will be facilitated by Liam and Margaret Scollan. Liam Scollan is a practising professionally qualified homeopath and member of the Irish Society of Homeopaths. He is well known in the West of Ireland for his successful record in developing organisations and communities and creating jobs. He has a corresponding interest in personal wellbeing and couples homeopathy and mediation. Margaret has over 20 years’ experience teaching in adult education and in 2002 completed a two year course in Christian spirituality followed by training as a spiritual director with the Jesuits of Manresa House, Dublin. She continues to work both as a teacher in a further education college and as a spiritual director accompanying people on retreat and in their every- day life.
